Course Summary
Examine the Emergency Medical System in the United States, its historical background, and the role and function of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Through immersive graphics and dynamic storytelling, students learn foundational concepts including basic human anatomy, principles of emergency care, and on-scene safety and precautions. Gain an inside look at EMTs’ patient assessment, protocols, and transport procedures, as well as how EMTs approach the challenges of emergency situations.
